🌎Books Around the World🌍
My passion for different cultures, languages, and travelling as well as the curiosity they inspire has always fuelled my love of reading. I’m drawn to books that explore the culture, lives, unique circumstances as well as traditions of people from around the world. This has led me to start a lifelong project: to read books from as many countries and about as many cultures as possible. Through this journey, I’ve come to better understand the world and the shared human experiences, joys and sorrows that connect us all, regardless of where we live.
The books I've discovered so far have sparked fascinating conversations with friends and family and I'm excited to continue this journey. In Berlin, I bring together a group of amazing women who share a love for reading and a passion for discovering different cultures. Together, we dive into books, using them as a starting point to share and explore our experiences.
I’m always on the lookout for new books to add to my ever-growing TBR ("to be read") pile. If you know of a book from your country that you think I should read, please pass along your suggestion to me through the short form.
I look forward to hearing from you and sharing this journey of discovery together!
That's the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet.

Monthly international meet-ups for women who love reading & exploring different cultures: we meet over a cup of tea or coffee to dive into a book by an author from our own migrant cultural backgrounds, sparking discussions about the book as well as about life and shared experiences.
Come be part of our international reading journey!
Meetings of the Books Around the World Club are part of the Berlin project SprachCafé im Ohr and are held in English at SprachCafé Polnisch, Gotenstr. 45, 10829 Berlin. Participation is free. We usually meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm, please email for details.
